We're a community co-operative run almost entirely by volunteers - we offer space for artists to meet and put stuff on, and we offer low-cost arts events (like storytelling, music, theatre).
But we also have bills and rent to pay, and we've cut our expenses as much as possible. Here's how you can support us:
Join the Co-op
What you get
If you become a member of the All Good Bookshop Co-op, you'll get a lifetime 10% discount on new books and book orders. You can also buy shares as a gift for someone else!
You'll also get a discount on hiring the space, as well as reduced rates on events and some groups (we don't run all the groups, but we'll do discounts where we can).
You'll also get a certificate and a badge that says 'I own a bookshop', so you can start interesting conversations with book-loving strangers.
Have your say
We run an Annual General Meeting, which all shareholders are welcome to. You'll be able to vote on important decisions, like the members of the board - elections will be held at the AGM.
How much is it?
Share packages are £100 each (you can buy a maximum of 10). All the money goes towards running the shop (rent, stock, etc). You can pay online - just contact us for details. If you email, call or tweet us, we'll tell you more.
Dividends
Technically, we're a cooperative society, so if we make any profit, this can be put back into the shop, given to charity or given to our members. So far, this has not come up (and does not look likely to this year...).

pay-it-forward board
To help celebrate our commitment to community, we’re launching a “Pay It Forward Board” where a book or other item can be bought for anyone for them to redeem at some time in the future.
When purchasing a "Pay It Forward" book or item, you can make it for anyone or for a certain person or even a school!
We can take pay-it-forward payments in store or online.
